An end of term visit to Ely
November 28th, 2018
At the end of term me and Hania took a few days off work to relax and reflect on how the term has been. As part of this, we took a day trip to Ely to see the famous cathedral there. Just going 20 minutes out of Cambridge made it feel like we were travelling and it was a reminder that we doin’t have to go far to explore new things.
The visit to the cathedral was made particularly good due to the tour guide that gave us an hour long tour (for free!). She was so enthusiastic about the history of the Cathedral and gave us a lot of insight. After our tour we went to a local pub, which didn’t have great food at all, but provided a nice atmosphere for a game of Scrabble and a pint.
